Dear Editor,
While driving in Georgetown during the after-lunch period on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, I heard part of a very interesting programme on 560 Radio dealing with tides. The presenter should be complimented for a very well-researched and presented topic. However, he made one error when he said that at neap tides the water falls very low. This is incorrect. During neap tides the high tides are not very high as he quite correctly explained, but the low tides are also not very low. It is at Spring tide the high water is very high, as he again correctly stated, but the low tides are very low. It is important that this piece of misinformation be corrected.
Yours faithfully,
Captain Rouchie EW Adams
