Rape accused Dennis Evans yesterday changed his plea from not guilty to guilty in the High Court at Berbice before Justice Brassington Reynolds.
Evans, 36, of Bath Settlement, was before a 12-member jury for engaging in sexual penetration with a child, whom he knew or should have known was a minor on October 18, 2010.
After the court was informed of the decision, the accused had the indictment re-read to him and he pleaded guilty. He will know his fate on the 23rd of March 2015 after a probation report is presented to the court.
Evans had initially pleaded not guilty to the charge when the case began on Monday.
