Dear Editor,
I did not know Courtney Crum-Ewing and only learnt of him in recent months. I admired his commitment to working with youths, and his one-man political mission. His murder must be condemned, and I applaud the political parties for condemning those involved in this cowardly cold-blooded act. All steps should be taken by the police to find the murderer and the getaway car. There are cameras posted at various sites in the Diamond area as well as at various businesses in the vicinity of the shooting. The police should try all angles to find the car and the four assassins and bring them to justice. All political figures should heed the call of retired Major General Joe Singh (‘Political leaders should deal objectively and circumspectly with Crum-Ewing’s death’ SN, Mar 12) not to cast aspersions and to take steps to prevent provocation. Blame must not be attributed until the police complete their investigations.
Yours faithfully,
Vishnu Bisram
