Dear Editor,
Free speech is enshrined in our constitution; Guyanese are allowed under our constitution to express themselves. In Guyana today it seems to be a crime to want express yourself and to share your views on the political situation facing our country. We in Guyana must refuse to allow this right to be taken from us.
Guyanese must be free to share their opinion on any issue affecting our country. We must as civilised people be able to sit down and debate the political and social issues affecting us. No one in Guyana should have to lose their life because they want to express their constitutional right.
What kind of country do we want to live in? We have a choice to make.
Yours faithfully,
Clive Fredericks
