The funeral for slain political activist Courtney Crum-Ewing will be held today and the family is asking mourners to wear red and black to show their solidarity.
His sister Althea told Stabroek News last night that his body will be at the family’s Lot 129 Grove Housing Scheme home from 10 am to 11 am.
The body will then be transported to Parade Ground where there will be a viewing from 12 to 1 pm. The body will then be taken to the Heavenly Light Church located in Cooper Street, Albouystown for the funeral service which starts at 2 pm.
She said that the family was asking persons, even those not attending the funeral, to show solidarity for Crum-Ewing by wearing black and red today.
Meanwhile, Queen’s College alumni are being asked to show support by attending the viewing at the Parade Ground in school colours (khaki or black bottoms with white shirts or white top with the school tie. The appeal came from the International Committee of the Queen’s College of Guyana Alumni Associations.
