A construction worker was remanded to prison yesterday after he denied the charge of inflicting grievous bodily harm on another person.
It is alleged that on March 18 at West Ruimveldt, Nedd Fraser, 27, of 264 West Ruimveldt, unlawfully and maliciously inflicted grievous bodily harm on Rolette Rowley.
The unrepresented defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge read to him at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court by Magistrate Annette Singh.
No facts were presented in court and Prosecutor Adduni Inniss objected to bail owing to the seriousness of the offence and the fact that Fraser gave different address to the police from that given to the court.
The case was adjourned to April 2.
