After being charged for allegedly killing his reputed wife, 22 year old Anthony Joseph was on Friday remanded to prison when he appeared before Magistrate Sunil Scarce at the Suddie Magistrate’s Court.
The man who was not represented in court by an attorney was not required to plead to the indictable charge which stated that between March 16 and 17 he murdered his 27-year-old reputed wife Quineza Benn.
The lifeless body of the woman was on Tuesday discovered by passers-by at the Charity Squatting Area at around 6 am.
Joseph was remanded to prison until April 14 and will return to court on that day for commencement of the preliminary inquiry into the matter.
