At about 0050h. today, police say that taxi driver Curtis Thom, 47 years, of Laing Avenue, Georgetown, was in his yard when he was confronted by two men armed with firearms who discharged several rounds in his direction and escaped.
Thom was shot to his chest and left shoulder and has been admitted to hospital, police said.
Investigations are in progress.
