Tourney hosts Fruta Conquerors came from two goals down to draw with Order and Discipline 2-2 when the fifth round in the inaugural Massy United Insurance Company U-15 League concluded yesterday at the Tucville Community ground.
Daquacy Hamilton opened the scoring for Order and Discipline in the second minute with a right footed finish down the centre of the net following a one-on-one situation with the keeper after receiving a right sided cross.
It would then become 2-0 in the 23rd minute as Zion Grey scored through a penalty kick conversion to the lower right corner following a rash challenge within the right side of the penalty area.
However Reshawn Rich would initiate the comeback in the 50th minute as the hosts were awarded a penalty kick after custodian Derah Thom was shown a red card for attempting to strike an opponent with his elbow.
Stepping to the kick, Rich would dispatch his right footed strike into the lower right hand corner. The result would then be sealed in the 60th minute as Rich upon skipping past his marker within the right side of the box, lashed his attempt into the lower left corner.
Similarly claiming a win was Black Pearl FC who defeated Sunburst Camptown 4-0 compliments of a Raheem Hassan double and solo efforts from Delroy Joseph and Derrick Rose.
Also earning wins were Western Tigers, Beacons and Renaissance who defeated Riddim Squad, Pele and Houston Stars respectively via walkover.
In the third matchup of the day, Georgetown Football Club and Santos FC battled to a scoreless draw. The tourney which will feature 12 clubs from under the Georgetown Football Association (GFA) umbrella, will be staged from March 7th-April 4th at the Tucville Community ground.
The tourney is slated to continue today at the same venue with the knockout section. Renaissance FC will faceoff with Beacon FC while Western Tigers will tackle Order and Discipline FC.
The final two quarterfinal matches will witness GFC taking on Black Pearl and Fruta Conquerors opposing Santos FC.
