The nude body of a female third form student of the Campbellville Secondary School was yesterday found at the seawall just off Turkeyen.
She was later identified, at the Lyken Funeral Parlour by her mother Maylene Williams, as 15 year old Alicia Alli who resided in an apartment complex in the nearby community of Cummingslodge.
Stabroek News was told by a friend of the teen’s mother that around 7pm on Tuesday evening the teen was asked by her mother to purchase bread at a nearby shop.
However after several hours elapsed and she did not return her mother became worried and solicited the help of friends to search the area for the girl. Their attempts were futile and they subsequently visited the Sparendaam Police Station where they made a missing person’s report.
It was the police who informed the mother yesterday that the body was found and transported her to the morgue where Alli was positively identified.
