Grace McCalman was Friday reelected president of the Guyana Tennis Association for a second term when the association held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Georgetown Cricket Club pavilion, Shiv Chanderpaul Drive.
McCalman was the only nominee for the position and as a result, was re-elected unopposed. Several executives were also returned unopposed; Ramesh Seebarran (Diamond Club), Secretary – Elizabeth Persaud (Park Players Club), Assistant Secretary/Secretary – Oswin Coggins (Roraima Club), Public Relations Officer – Jamal Goodluck (Rebel Club) and Committee Member – Tandy Primo (Non-Pariel Club).
Seven tennis clubs were financially affiliated and represented at the meeting and those were Georgetown Cricket Club, Roraima Tennis Club, Diamond Tennis Club, Le Ressouvenir Tennis Club, Non Pariel Tennis Club, Park Players Tennis Club and the recently established Rebel Tennis Club.
Captain John Flores, President of the Guyana Volleyball Federation performed the duties of Returning Officer.
