At about 0045h today, police say that Devon Pydana, 28 years, of Stanleytown, New Amsterdam, Berbice, was allegedly driving a motor car at a fast rate along the Golden Grove Public Road, West Coast Berbice, when he lost control of the vehicle and collided with two parked motor lorries.
As a result of the collision, police say that Pydana and the seven other occupants suffered injuries and were taken to the Fort Wellington hospital where Tommy Thomas, 22 years, and Jevon Gregory 19 years, of New Amsterdam; and a so far unidentified male were pronounced dead on arrival.
Pydana and the four other occupants have been admitted to hospital as the investigations continue.
