Within two days, the accused in two armed robberies, in which over $2M was stolen, was cleared of both charges.
Howard Rambharose, who is still currently facing multiple charges of a similar nature, yesterday had a robbery charge against him dismissed due to the alleged victim failing to show up in court since the charge was laid last August.
The charge had stated that on July 30, 2014, at Sandy Babb Street, Kitty, being armed with a gun, Rambharose robbed Nalini Kawall of $830,000 and other valuables, amounting to a total of $955,000.
On Monday, another charge was dismissed because the prosecution failed to prove a prima facie case against Rambharose. This charge stated that on July 14, at Sheriff Street, Rambharose, while being in the company of others and armed with a gun, robbed Leroy Hinds of $1.7M.
Both charges were dismissed by Magistrate Fabayo Azore at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court 5.
