Family members are looking for nine-year-old Shaquan Gittens. The boy went missing on Wednesday afternoon around 16:30hrs in the vicinity of his home located at 2950 Well Road, North Ruimveldt.
The boy’s mother, Doysha Gittens filed a missing person report the same night he went missing, however police have yet to commence a search for the boy. The child’s mother relayed that officers at the North Ruimveldt Police Outpost told her that there were no vehicles available to patrol the area when she went back to the station on Thursday afternoon.
She said that the boy was seen flying kites with a friend in the vicinity, however a search party has been unable to find the child. The boy attends South Ruimveldt Park Primary School.
