Police are still trying to ascertain who killed Cummings Lodge vendor Quincy Bowman and why.
Crime Chief Leslie James told Stabroek News yesterday that no one has yet been arrested and investigations are ongoing.
Bowman, age 31, of Cummings Lodge, Greater Georgetown, was shot in his head around 5 am on Monday and left to die on a bridge that joins Festival City and Guyhoc Park.
He was clad in ¾ white pants and a burgundy hooded top.
One resident had told this newspaper that she was awakened from her sleep by two gunshots. She did not venture outside but about 30 minutes later she heard a woman hollering.
Contacted yesterday Bowman’s brother Andrew said that he hasn’t heard anything from the police about the investigation. He said that since the discovery of his brother’s body he has not heard anything about him having any issues with anyone.
A post-mortem examination will be held today.
