The young man who allegedly stabbed 15-year-old Kester Yamster last Friday at Eccles Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara, is expected to be charged today, a police source said yesterday.
Kester Yamster of Lot 110 Eccles Housing Scheme, was severely stabbed in his chest, abdomen and in an arm during an argument with the 21-year-old man at a street corner in the housing scheme. He was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital in a taxi.
A relative of Yamster stated that his condition has improved and he will be removed from the Intensive Care Unit to the Male Surgical Ward of the hospital later today.
Reports indicated that Yamster was sitting on his bike when his assailant approached him and stabbed him several times, before fleeing.
A companion of Yamster stated that the two young men had an old grievance over a girl.
