A post-mortem examination was yesterday performed on the body of Roy Bovell of Tabatinga, Lethem, by Pathologist Dr. Nehaul Singh. The cause of death was given as asphyxiation due to hanging.
On April 12, 2015, Bovell was found hanging in the lock-ups at Lethem Police Station where he was in custody in a matter that was under investigation.
The Police Office of Professional Responsibility is investigating the incident.
