Off-spinner Sagar Hetheramani headlined the third and final day and round of the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) U19 three-day tourney between Demerara and the U17’s which ended in a draw at the Everest Cricket Club ground yesterday.
The U17 slow bowler, who stole the show with figures of 6-59 from 29 overs, was magical during his spells as the Demerara batsmen found him difficult to play, especially under forecast conditions and a pitch filled with moisture. His efforts with the ball ensured Demerara would not reach their first innings target of 251 as they ended on 219-9 from 77 overs.
