A 13-year-old Wakapoa, Lower Pomeroon River girl is now the mother of twins and admitted at the Suddie Hospital, Essequi-bo Coast as a patient.
According to a source, the girl who gave birth late last week had said that she had “a sad story to tell.”
Efforts made by this publication to contact relatives of the child proved futile.
It is unclear whether a welfare officer is stationed in Wakapoa or anywhere close by.
