A young mother who was admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) about two weeks ago after she sustained fourth degree burns to her entire body, succumbed to her injuries on Sunday.
Stabroek News understands that twenty-five-year old Ashanti Parris, of Linden was badly burnt to her entire body under unclear circumstances on April 7 while she was at home with her daughter.
A post-mortem examination is scheduled to be conducted today.
