At about 2020h. last night, the police say that businessman Abdul Quadir Nazir, 26 years, of Canal No.1 Polder, WBD, was in his motor car in front of his residence along with mechanic Mark Crandon, 40 years, of Canal No. 1, when a motor car drove up and a man exited.
The man, who was armed with a gun, discharged rounds at Nazir hitting him to his left side and he was taken out of the vehicle.
Police say that the armed man was then joined by another man and they drove away the victim’s vehicle, during which Crandon managed to jump out of the vehicle.
The stolen motor car was subsequently recovered intact at Nismes, WBD.
Nazir has been admitted to hospital as the investigations continue.
