A British citizen was yesterday nabbed at the Ogle Airport with 907 grammes of cocaine concealed in shoe soles.
According to a source, the man was attempting to smuggle the cocaine out of the country in several pairs of footwear he had in his suitcase as well as the soles of the sneakers he was wearing.
The source further related that the bust came as a result of ranks taking special interest in the man, who was leaving after only spending a few days in the country.
He was said to be a passenger on a LIAT flight destined for Barbados with an onward connection to England.
Investigations were still ongoing up to press time yesterday.
