Kishan Bacchus and Avinda Kishore lead the best net and best gross standings after four rounds of the inaugural President’s 9-hole golf league heading into the penultimate day of competition later today.
When the fourth round ended last Thursday at the Lusignan Golf Course (LGC), Bacchus, with a handicap of eight, finished with a net 142.
He is closely followed in second place by David Mohamad, who also recorded a net of 142, but whose handicap is nine.
Third place is occupied by Richard Haniff with a net 143, while Patrick Prasad 144/4 and Roy Cummings 144/5 are fourth and fifth respectively.
Kishore has recorded the best gross to date after ending on 154 while Prashad with a gross of 160 is in second place and Cummings 164, third. Bridgelall Harry 174/7 and Bacchus, 174/8 are fourth and fifth respectively.
President of the LGC, David Mohamad said that two more prizes are to be added in the respective categories which means that the top four persons in the best net category and the top two in the best gross category will receive prizes.
Moreover, for golfers present at the final day’s play, there will also be some surprise prizes.
Mohamad said that so far he is pleased with the enthusiasm of the golfers who are participating in the League.
