A South Central Rupununi man was yesterday brought before a city magistrate to answer a charge that he stole a cow.
It is alleged that between April 17 and April 19, at Parashara Village, South Central Rupununi, Natstan Anton stole the cow, valued $100,000, which belonged to Jeremiah Thomas.
Anton pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted $40,000 bail by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry. The case was transferred to the Lethem Magistrate’s Court for June 1.
