A man who admitted that he threatened to kill a woman will spend the next 21 days in jail after he was charged with the offence yesterday.
Colwin Curt pleaded guilty after the charge which was read to him by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court 1.
The allegation against Curt is that on April 9, at Camp Street, he made use of threatening language towards Radica Singh.
Prosecutor Bharat Mangru said the defendant told the complainant that he would kill her. No other details of the charge were related to the court.
He was then sentenced to 21 days imprisonment.
