Guyana U-15 all-rounder Kevin Sinclair blasted a majestic 155 for Canje Secondary School (CSS) in the ongoing A. Ally and Sons Inter-Secondary School Under-17 cricket competition recently in Berbice.
Sinclair’s innings featured 18 fours and six sixes and is the highest score in the competition so far which steered his team to 238 all-out in their first innings response to Berbice High School’s (BHS) 139.
At the BHS ground, CSS took first innings points from Berbice High School in their drawn match. BHS first innings 139 with Malcolm Mickle 37, Satesh Diamond 36, Abdul Ramsammy 3 for 22, Joshua Bacchus 3 for 25, Zaynul Ramsammy 2 for 23.
Canje Secondary School first innings 238 with Kevin Sinclair 155, Trevon Stanislaus 35, Yuvindra Sookraj 4 for 47, Malcolm Mickle 2 for 30.
At Cumberland, New Amsterdam Secondary School beat Tutorial Academy by an innings and 41 runs. Tutorial Academy first innings 55 with Floyd Kissoon 4 for 8, Arjuna Pooran 3 for 4, Brandon Corlette 2 for 19 and secon innings 55 with Roberto Britton 32, Joel LaFleur 4 for 10. Guyana under-15 pacer Steven Kamaludin 2 for 22. New Amsterdam Secondary first innings 151 for 6 declared with Garfield Benjamin 59, Steven Kamaludin 30, and Stephon Hosannah 3 for 31.
At Cotton Tree, No.8 Secondary School beat Fort Wellington Secondary School by 46 runs. No.8 Secondary first innings 63 with Jamey Goria 27, and second innings 77 for 5 declared with Jamey Goria 42.
