The newly reconstructed Mahaicony Post Office has been officially reopened for business.
The Mahaicony Post Office will continue to serve the public by offering postal services such as acceptance and delivery of mail, payment of Government/Old Age Pension/NIS and other pensions and salaries, payment of bills, same day money order transfer, parcel postage, sale of postage and revenue stamps, cell phone and GPL pre-paid top-ups, a press release from the Guyana Post Office Corporation said.
Residents were served at the Weldaad and Mahaica post offices during the period that the Mahaicony Post Office was being rebuilt. Manage-ment of the GPOC extended gratitude to the administration of the Mahaicony Neighbourhood Democra-tic Council for rendering assistance during the post office’s closure.
The GPOC also said all complaints, queries or suggestions regarding service at any of its post offices must be reported to its Customer Services Department on telephone numbers 226-3127 or to the Deputy Postmaster General on telephone number 227-7494.
