Opposition alliance confident, A Partnership for National Unity and the Alliance For Change today said that they are confident about the results from yesterday’s general elections and called for a timely declaration by the Guyana Elections Commission.
In a statement, APNU+AFC said it is concerned by the disinformation campaign currently being waged by the People Progressive Party- PPP that they have won the General and Regional Elections by a slim majority. The coalition said it regards this as not in the best interest of the country.
APNU+AFC urged the Guyana Elections Commission to use its best efforts to provide a timely declaration of the results to put the nation at rest.
