Guyana’s Nicolette Fernandes was beaten in the first round of the Allam British Open women’s singles event Tuesday.
Playing at the University of Hull squash courts the world-ranked
number 20 Fernandes, lost to the world ranked number 11 Hong Kong’s Annie Au by three sets to one in a match that lasted 49 minutes.
Fernandes lost 8-11, 11-6, 11-3, 12-10.
