JC Chandisingh Secondary defeated Corentyne Comprehensive Secondary 41-24 when the Corentyne Zone in the 10th edition of the Youth Basketball Guyana (YBG) National School Basketball Festival continued recently.
Hosted at the Rose Hall Court, R. Murray was the architect of their huge win as he registered a game-high 12 points. Supporting with seven points each were S. Fraser and F. Kurt respectively. Top scoring in the loss was J. Hicks with nine points.
He was supported by the duo of D. Kingston and K. Logan who netted seven and five points correspondingly. The event is slated to continue at the same venue this Friday with a doubleheader.
Guyana Sugar Corporation (GUYSUCO) Training Centre will oppose Lower Corentyne in the first fixture while Corentyne Comprehensive Secondary will lock horns with Manchester Secondary in the second matchup. The other competing school in the zone is Central Corentyne Secondary.
