I wish to draw to the attention of those accountable that the Patentia Housing Scheme Main Bridge No.1, which should have been dismantled after the construction of Bridge No 2, is still standing, open to traffic, in its dangerous condition of extreme deterioration. In consequence, vehicles using this bridge without taking account of its state are presenting the possibility of loss of lives should the bridge collapse, partially or in its entirety.
I am appealing to the Administrative Unit of Region 3 to move swiftly to preserve lives.
