The annual Youth Week Independence table tennis tournament organized by the Guyana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) is scheduled to commence Sunday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
The GTTA, in a press release, stated that it expected a very competitive tournament with play in several categories such as the “C’’ and “B’’ Class Open, men and women doubles, senior mixed doubles, Masters Open 50 to 55 years, 56 to 60 years and 60 years and over.
The tournament is open to any player affiliated to the association as well as to new players interested in playing in the tournament.
Registration for the tournament, which ends May 26th, will close on May 24th the morning of the tournament.
The technical meeting of the tournament which is being conducted under the rules of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) will take place on May 24th at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall Homestretch Avenue.
