I would like to congratulate Mr David Arthur Granger on his accession to the presidency and wish him and his new government success in the next five years.
I would like to see his government tackle the crime situation, improve the health and education sectors, revamp sports, especially cricket and soccer, and implement a national airline, Guyana Airways. It is a disgrace that Guyana is the largest country in the Caribbean and Caricom and we do not have a national flag carrier. Caribbean Airways has no respect for Guyanese travellers.
In addition to the above, only competent and qualified persons should be selected to manage the affairs of the country.
The PPP/C and their supporters should co-operate with the new administration for the wellbeing of our country. We are all Guyanese and we should work together to develop our country.
