Young sprint sensation, Kenisha Phillips, will represent Guyana and the De Challengers club tomorrow and Saturday at the Hampton Games in Trinidad and Tobago.

Phillips, who will be accompanied by her uncle and coach Linden Phillips, is being sponsored by Mings Products & Services Limited, a press release from the company stated.
The 14-year-old Phillips, of Friendship, East Coast Demerara, is a student of Bladen Hall Multilateral School and will compete in the 100, 200 and 400m.
She might, however be forced to participate in only two of those events
depending on how the heats and finals are staged during the two-day event.
According to the release, Kenisha has been dominating the U17 sprint events locally.
Her Carifta Games Trials 200M time was 24.6 seconds and in the absence of Alicia Fortune she won the Women’s Open 100m when the new track, at Leonora, was christened last month in a reported hand timed 11.3 seconds. She then went on to place third in the Women’s Open 400m in a time of 59.8 seconds.
