Two-day Referee Instructor/Assessor Course concludes

With their mantra being the development of football, the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Normilization Committee successfully staged a two-day Referee Instructor/ Assessor Course May 16th-17th.

10 in attendance. “There were a total of 16 participants which included for the first time, two female Referee Assessors.

This is the first course of its kind which was facilitated by the Federation’s local Instructors/ Assessors Abdulla Hamid, Ingram Johnson and Roy McArthur.”

The release further noted that the aim of the course was “To have well trained Assessors/Instructors to properly assess our match officials during all levels of games/tournaments across Guyana, also to aid in the development of our Referees.

“The GFF will be hosting a series of Recruitment Drives with its first Beginner’s Course on 22nd-25th May, 2015. Interested persons are asked to contact Mr. Stanley Lancaster on 2278758 or via email-slancaster@gffonline.com.

“These courses are part of the continued development plans of the GFF for the sport of football with training sessions for coaches, referees and players,” the document added.
