Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated David Granger on his election as President of Guyana following the May 11th general election.
The message of congratulation released by the Russian Embassy today follows:
Honourable Mr. Granger,
Please accept sincere congratulations on the occasion of your inauguration as the President of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana.
I note with satisfaction that the nature of Russian-Guyanese relations is friendly and constructive. I am confident that their further development in different spheres is in accord with fundamental interests of our peoples.
