Dear Editor,
Newly-elected President David Granger must take stem action against squatters whether they are his party supporters or supporters of the People’s Progressive Party. This lawlessness must not be tolerated.
I would also like to advise that after the government has settled in, there should be a review of the age of retirement for public servants. I recommend the age of retirement be changed to 65-years-old and extended to 70-years-old if it is determined that a person is physically fit to continue working.
We as a poor nation are sending our rich human resources (our retirees) to first world countries where they continue to earn a living and at the same time enrich these nations. In Guyana in contrast the human resources we are losing are becoming scarce.
Yours faithfully,
M Khan
