The Georgetown Hub of the Global Shapers Community has offered congratulations to President David Granger and the APNU+AFC coalition on their victory at the May 11 General and Regional elections.
The Georgetown Hub is one of 350 city-based Hubs which form the worldwide network that is the Global Shapers Community. This community is an independent, neutral, nonpolitical, nonprofit initiative of the World Economic Forum led by promising young leaders between the ages of 20 and 30, who want to build on their achievements and entrepreneurial drive to make a positive contribution to their communities.
The group in its message noted that the coalition’s campaign of peace and unity resounded well with voters as evidenced by its victory. The group implored the new government to let its leadership continue to espouse the message of peace and unity as it embarks on the great responsibilities that public office bestows.
