Dear Editor,
I have read in the newspapers that Mr Granger has appointed his son-in-law Mr Dominic Gaskin of the AFC as Minister responsible for Business and Investment. During the tenure of the PPP regime both APNU and AFC quite correctly drew the public’s attention to the prevalence of relatives of high-ranking PPP officials occupying key government jobs.
I am wondering if Mr Granger and his colleagues have suddenly redefined nepotism.
Indeed this most important portfolio should be given to a prominent business executive or other suitable person with the adequate qualifications and experience.
I look forward to comments from objective and impartial observers.
Yours faithfully,
