Sueria Manufacturing Inc. and Kaieteur Candies along with the Albion Cricket Club will host the 2015 annual Inter-Schools windball competition for primary schools within the Albion Community area.
As part of club’s annual recruitment exercise for young cricketers, five primary schools namely; Cropper, Albion Back, Belvedere, Courtland/Gibralter and Fyrish will be part of the tournament.
The annual competition, which began in 2010, produced players such as Balchan Baldeo, Adrian Sukhwa, Retesh Umroa, Kelvin Umroa, Asif Ally, Joshua Harrichand and Karran Arjpaul and a few others for Berbice.
The round robin tournament is expected to commence on May 29 with each school playing each other once before the top four teams advance to the semi-final.
The final is scheduled for June 5.
The tournament will focus on students who have just finished writing the national Grade Six Examinations while all matches will be played at the famous Albion Sport Complex.
Belvedere Primary was crowned champion in the 2014 edition while this year’s winner will be presented with a beautiful trophy and a gift for the best Graduating Grade Six student.
