A post-mortem examination which was scheduled to be conducted yesterday on the body of 18-year-old Trevon Benn was pushed back to tomorrow.
This is according to the aunt of the young man, Donette Joseph.
Benn was killed after the boat he was piloting crashed into a tree on Monday night while heading up the Akawini Creek, on the Pomeroon River. His friend Jamul France escaped unharmed.
France had told Stabroek News that he and Benn were going up the Akawini Creek when Benn attempted to manoeuvre around debris in the water and lost control of the boat which crashed into trees on the riverbank.
Police investigations are ongoing.
