A man was shot while resisting a robber on Monday at Festival City, Georgetown.
In a statement, police said Michael McLeod, 59, of Meadow Brook Gardens, was walking along the roadway when he was approached by a man with a gun, who demanded his gold chain.
McLeod resisted and was subsequently shot to his buttocks and his left knee, while the culprit took his gold chain and escaped. McLeod was admitted to hospital and was expected to undergo surgery.
