It is indeed welcome news and more than time that Raj Singh and his whole team at GuySuCo be fired and sent packing. This is a man who lives in New York, where his only claim to fame was as the leader of a negligible PPP support group which he ran dictatorially. From there he moved to the top position in the sugar industry where his only real qualification was his friendship with Messrs Jagdeo and Ramotar.
I want to thank the current Minister for taking quick action as regards Dr Singh and company; it is very encouraging to see that this administration is serious about change. This action was essential for the survival of our sugar industry, since one more day of Dr Singh would have been one more day of disaster for the industry. Dr Singh joined the PPP list in the recent elections so he should struggle on the political front now since his GuySuCo job was politically motivated. For Dr Singh, the political chickens have come home to roost.
