The tournament, to be held July 19, is to be coordinated by the Cricket Development Committee of the RHTYSC and will see 12 pairs competing in the knockout tournament.
The first and second rounds of matches will be played on a two overs per team basis while the semi-finals and finals will be four-overs-per-side affairs.
Top female players Shemaine Campbelle, Tremayne Smartt, Erva Giddings along with Plaffina Millington, Erica Lashley, Melanie Henry, Nikita Toney, Aleem Arokium, Diana Prahalad, Shabiki Gajnabi, Katina Mentore, Steffanie Rodney and Natasha Gangadeo are all expected to participate.
Secretary/CEO Hilbert Foster said the main aim of the competition is to keep the cricketers active while simultaneously attracting new players to the game. The Rose Hall Town Farfan and Mendes and the Tucker Park under 15 teams will perform fielding duties in the competition.
