A woman was yesterday chopped to death with an axe by her partner in Yarrowkabra, Soesdyke/Linden Highway, police said.
According to a police statement, sometime during yesterday Carol Miranda Shako, 42, of Yarrowkabra, Soesdyke/Linden Highway, had an argument with her partner and she was struck to her head and chopped to her neck with an axe. Shako was pronounced dead on arrival at the Diamond Diagnostic Centre, the police said.
The suspect has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations, police said.
