Dear Editor,
I refer to the disclosure that cabinet has given the green light for forensic audits to be conducted in thirty organizations
I hope that Clico is on the list, and if not, I suggest that it be included. I think the audit should unearth, among other things, who were the persons that were called in to in cash their certificates before the collapse. We should also be told who made these calls and whether it constitutes insider trading or not. The Finance Minister should also urgently examine the assets of Clico (buildings and vehicles) and the terms of employment of any current employees of Clico. I understand that a current employee is being paid over two million dollars a month and drives an expensive SUV owned by Clico. The Finance Minister would also have to deal with payments to those who were deemed related parties.
Yours faithfully,
