Principal Partner of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) T20 tournament, New Guyana Pharmaceutical Company Incorporated (GPC), under its popular Limacol brand, yesterday confirmed that it will continue as the competition’s main sponsor.
The confirmation of the new GPC’s renewed commitment as well as the agreement which ensures that Limacol will become umpires and referees partners, meaning Limacol will be represented on the Umpires’ uniforms and during the Third Umpire review, was outlined in a detailed press release sent yesterday.
New GPC Chairman, Dr Ranjisinghi Ramroop said:“We are delighted that Limacol will be continuing our successful relationship with CPL. This year’s tournament looks bigger than ever and we look forward to continuing to provide ‘Genuine Caribbean Cool’ to cricket fans across the region and around the World.”
Meanwhile, CPL Commercial Director Jamie Stewart stated:“Limacol has been the central supporter of CPL since before the first ball was bowled, and cricket fans across the region have the brand to thank for helping to make the CPL dream a reality. We are very pleased to extend the strong relationship with Limacol into 2015 and we thank the company for its continuing support of the Biggest Party in Sport.”
Global superstars including Kevin Pietersen, Jacques Kallis and Shahid Afridi will join the Caribbean’s finest cricketers the likes of Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo, as well as exciting up-and-coming local talent, when the third edition bowls off on June 20.
