The Preliminary Inquiry into the charge against 18-year-old John Hetsberger, who is accused of murdering Jennifer Ann Mendonca in her home at Plaisance, East Coast Demerara last year, began yesterday at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court.
Hetsberger, of Duke Street, Kingston, Georgetown, appeared before Magistrate Zamilla Ally, who is presiding over the inquiry.
It is alleged that Hetsberger murdered Mendonca on August 8th, 2014, at Plaisance. Mendonca, 57, was found dead in her Plaisance home with her hands bound and her mouth duct taped.
Two witnesses testified yesterday; seven more are expected to take the stand as the PI continues tomorrow.
