On June 8, Plastic Products Limited had its permit for the manufacture of Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC) pipes renewed by the Guyana National Bureau of Standards (GNBS) after continuously meeting the requisite testing and quality standards.
According to a GNBS press release, the certification requirements met by Plastic Products Limited Scheme are in two specific areas of the national standards: GYS 107, “Specification for pressure-rated PVC pipes (SDR series)” and GYS 99, “Specification for PVC pipes Schedules 40, 80 and 120” under the GNBS Product Certification.
The one- year renewal certificate received by Production Manager of Plastic Products Limited, Bharrath Rampersaud now puts the pipe manufacturer in the company of Thermoplastics Limited, King’s Jewellery World and Steve’s Jewellery all of whom are duly certified by GNBS for products meeting the required national standard.
