“Already we have been supporting our team by providing Diamond Mineral Water and Gatorade to the players to ensure that they are properly hydrated at all times, staying true to the Gatorade promise of ‘Win from within’” he added.
According to Wills DDL has always been supportive of sports in Guyana and football is no different.
“We have been a part of football for a long time and we’re proud to have played a part in their last qualifying bid which saw them making it to the group stages. We believe it is our responsibility as a corporate citizen to again give them as much support as is needed.”
Wills also called on the public to support the team.
“We would like to take this opportunity to call on you the Guyanese public to rally around our team. Let them feel our support, let them know they are ours and we are proud of them. We know that the Golden Jaguars has it in them to go a far way and we will continue to help them ‘Win from within’”.
Wills said they were in it for the long haul.
“We are giving a commitment that our sponsorship is not just for one match but we are behind them fully for the long run and we hope that it will be a long, long run,” Wills added.
Speaking on behalf of the GFF Normalization Committee, Assistant General Secretary Deidre Davis thanked the company for its significant gesture, noting that the corporate entity should continue its efforts to foster the development of sports.
